to be present in a given moment, to at once absorb the details of the human drama ceaselessly unfolding with ever-present attention...to articulate a responce, to make your mark. for me the choice is simple to assimilate the information of the world useing the medium of paint. as a decision that i began formulationg some odd number of years ago, the relevance of working with my paint has never lost its freshness, continually allowing me to incorporate my present intrests no matter how disparate - graffiti, landscapes, turntablism, a burgeoning need to have a political voice. these elements coexist peacefully in the space of my paintings. it is where i find solace in understanding the world, painting is where i believe i am present
